Kevin looked through the file while holding the infant against his chest. He had contacted several of the foster families in the area but none of them were equiped for a newborn. The few who were already had full houses.

He rubbed the little girls back.

Kevin: I'll find you a home. I promise.

He heard the knock on his office door.

Kevin: Come in.

Josie walked in as she looked at the man. 

{Josie} Hello, I was contacted by Cheyenne Sweet. I was told that you had a new born, you're looking to put in foster care. 

She said as she pulled out her paper work, as she then looked at him. 

{Josie} My name is Josie, I'm able to care for her.. 

She said as she was letting him look over the paper work and file as she had the inspection her liccesne and letters from a few judges about her good work, and even a note from Cheyenne who recomended her.

He looked over the file and smiled.

Kevin: You are a life saver.

He pulled out the paperwork he needed for her to sign.

Kevin: She was never officially given a name.  We've been calling her Noel because it's Christmas season and she's a little Christmas miracle.  She's perfectly healthy.  Was found laying in the manger of the nativity scene outside the church.  The doctor said she was only a few hours old.  She's a week old now and was just released from the hospital today.

She signed the paper work as she looked at the little girl as it was handed to her.. She was so beautiful 

{Josie} Shes so beautiful. 

She smiled as she looked at her... She listened to what he was telling her but didn't take her eyes off the baby.  She had cared for foster kids before, but there was something different, this one really just clung to her... 

{Josie} I'm thinking I'm going to adopt her. 

She said as she wanted to keep her keep her.. as she looked up at him seeing him smile..

Kevin: The police have located the parents.  The father is spending life in prison, and the mother says she doesn't want her.  You file the papers and I'll see what I can do to help you adopt her.

Josie nodded and smiled. 

{Josie} Thank you. 

She said as she sat down a moment so she could put the small snow suit on her, seeing as it was chilly outside, she was glad she brought it.. Knowing the baby didn't have a lot yet, but she had already taken care of it.. even put a nursery in her home, to take care of the child. 

{Josie} My address is on the paper I gave you, feel free to stop by and check on her if you like. 

she said knowing that it was his job and all, so she was making it easy on him...

Josie looked at him smiling softly as she nodded her head as she then went taking her leave, ti didn't take long to get her home and settled in... and time went by faster and after a few weeks, just before christmas, Josie was at the court house smiling as she had recived custy of Noel... 

{Josie} Such a great day, and soon to be a wonderful christmas. 

She said as she hugged her now daughter kissing her cheek outside the court house.

Josie: I know i didn't, but i wanted too.  

Seh said as she was happy and was then getting in the car as she waved to him then went driving off, as she knew he wouldn't be far behind... When she got home she got out as she took the baby inside and then put her down for her nap as she was slepeing nearly anyways, she then went and got the coco going.

Kevin stopped at his Dad's and picked up Autumn.  When she heard where they were going she got extremely excited.

Kevin: Calm down, Peanut.  She's still too little for you to be playing with.

He strapped her into her booster seat then headed for Josie's house.

Josie looked around as she had everything ready the lights were lit as she loved this time of the year even more now that she had Noel. she then went and got her, hearing he awake as she went getting her bringging her down putting her in her bassient down stairs as she put her mobile up so she could play with hit... She heard them arriving as she walked over opening the door letting them in.

Josie nodded as she went with him walking up the steps a bit as she picked up Noel on the way as she wanted to put her to sleep as well, she put her in the nursery then took him next door to a toddler room so she could nap in the day bed.

She nodded smiling softly when he said that as she had started the cooking a bit as she just put the potatos on now, and had the turkey going, she told him other things that needed to be done as they started to work together. 

{Josie} This is fun. 

She said smiling as she was happy to be doing this.  This was like her christmas didnner to her... She didnt' have any family really, only Noel now.. She had been an orphan herself, and never adopted out so she was glad she could do that for Noel and give her a good home.

Josie: I wanted to help children.. My life growing up was so bad.. my parents where murded hinfront of me, when i was only 6.  I got pushed around the system from one abusing foster place to another.. until finally i was dumped out on the streets at 16...

She said as she was thinking about it. 

Josie: I wanted to try to help stop that from happening to be there for children like I didn't have.. 

She said honestly.

She smiled as she was thinking about it... She had use to dream of having her own family, of having her own children, but she had stopped thinking like that. and was happy with what she was blessed with and even mroe so when Noel came inot her life.
