Jan stood outside as she looked at the buidling, she didn't know if she wanted to go in there.. She had heard some horror stories about her new boss and wasn't sure if she was ready for it, she had a tough time, just fresh out of the hospital after being nearly killed... She had been tortured and tormented and she felt weak and helpless... She thought when she took this job it would be what she needed to get back to herself, but now that she was there, she was rethinking it.. Just then her cell phone went off as she jumped a bit, she picked it up seeing that it was her ex husband, Chris, she smiled a bit answering it.

{Jan Drake} Hey, Chris. Yes I'm here, yea I havn't gone in yet... I don't know if I can do this... Maybe I'm not ready..

She said as she was so use to talking to him, they may not be together anymore but he was her good friend, and she trusted him, she talked to him a bit as he encouraged her that she was doing the right thing.

{Jan Drake} Alright I'll go in...Thank you, Chris.

She said finally before hanging up, she turned her phone off, so it wouldn't go off while talking to James as she then opened the doors and walked inside, she then took a deep breath before she started to speak to the person at the desk..

{Jan Drake} Hello, I'm Jan Drake, I'm looking for James Martin, he should be expecting me..

She said as she was pointed to an office and told to wait in the chair by the door, until he called for her as she nodded and did as she was told as she took a seat and then watied.

He slammed the phone down then stood up going to the open door.  He saw the woman setting there pale.

James: Jan?  Come on into my office.

She stood there frozen a moment as she couldn't move hearing him yelling as she saw how tense and angered he look as it scared her, she then just shook her head backing up..

She looked around then looked back at him as she lowered her head a bit feeling ashamed that she was like this.. She didn't know why anyohne would want to hire her so bad, she didn't even know if she could really do her job as good anymore... At least she didn't always have to leave, most of the time she could work rihgt from her office.

Jan looked at him nodding her head as she saw him leave as she went looking around her office a bit as she was checking things out.  She set things up a bit then pulled her cell phone out as she turned it back on, she smiled seeing that there were a couple missed calls from Chris.. He was checking up on her to make sure she didn't freak out, she called him back and told him what happened, and told him how nice her new boss was... She then after a moment hung up as she went over to her desk sitting down as she was looking over things there, she saw a file on her desk already as she opened it up and looked thru it a bit... It was a old unsloved murder case, she looked at the photos and saw the victims and then pictueres of the crime scene as she opened her bad and pulled out one of her many black books, the pages for now empty but she would fill them in as she went, as she did all her cases this way, it was her way of taking her work home with her, and going over things when she wasn't at the office as she started to pick apart the crime scene..
